Lock-IN
Last updated: May 22, 2026
This policy describes how Lock-IN (“we”, “us”) handles information for the Lock-IN website, web app at lockinmusic.app/app, and the Lock-IN Focus Shield Chrome extension.
The extension’s single purpose is optional distraction blocking during Lock-IN focus sessions. It only acts on websites that you choose in Lock-IN settings.
The extension stores the following locally on your device using chrome.storage.local:
When you use the Lock-IN web app on lockinmusic.app,
the app sends Focus Shield settings to the extension through a secure same-origin
postMessage channel. The extension content script runs only on Lock-IN app pages.
No account password or payment data passes through the extension.
During an active focus session, the extension compares tab URLs against your block list. That may qualify as browsing-related activity under Chrome Web Store disclosures. This processing happens on your device only and is used solely to enforce your chosen blocking rules.
Data retention: Extension data stays on your device until you change settings, clear extension storage, or uninstall the extension.
If you create an account, we store account information (such as email and profile settings) through our authentication provider (Supabase). Your song library and preferences may be stored in your account and in browser storage for faster loading. We use email delivery (Resend) for account verification messages.
We do not sell your personal information. We use data only to operate Lock-IN, improve the product, and communicate with you about your account when necessary.
Lock-IN is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Lock-IN or the extension after changes means you accept the updated policy.
